New Queen of Rockabilly?

HOW MUCH did I enjoy that night!!! The ABC was packed to the rafters which gave a fantastic atmosphere.  I may have gotten there a little early but it meant I could a great spot. :)

There was a great support act, The Sour Mash Trio, you can check them out here. I thought they were great and they got a great response from the crowd. Will be looking out for them in the future.

Next came the lady herself, who is even more attractive in real life (if you can believe it.)

(And yes, I wish I could wear black and red pvc and look like that)

Everything about the performance was spot on! The stage props and lighting were fantastic for the venue. I’m not sure how they would have looked in the Liquid Rooms that she played the night before, but I heard that was a great night too. She played a good collection from her two albums along with a few covers finishing her encore with her rendition of Tainted Love. I was a little disappointed that she never sang “Falling In Love With You Again” however there was no piano on stage so I wasn’t too surprised.

Everyone in the audience seemed to enjoy it as much as I did and everyone was happily singing along to all the songs :)

What I didn’t enjoy was the lack of posters, couldn’t find one for my collection this time. I’ll just have to try again next time.

This was one of my favourite of the night.

A Semi Professional Me:

For anyone who didn’t know, a couple of weeks ago, I went on a “Management Training Course” for the company I work for, JD Sports Fashion plc. I work in one of their fashion fascias: Bank. Check out the threads we sell here.

So my main reason for wanting to do well on this course was to impress the people I would meet there, as I’d like to end up in H/O. I feel I did all I could, so I’ll just have to hope I made a good impression on all I met there.

And yes, being away for the whole week in a more professional atmosphere meant one thing: OFFICE WORK WEAR. Ok, so it might not be the most exciting of clothing options, but I never get to wear anything remotely office like so it made  nice change and yes I got a bit excited by the whole thing.

I never got a chance to take more photos of the other days outfits, but these were my favourites. Even though I thought I had toned down my look for the week I still got a couple of good comments on how bright I was. Along with a comment of how I looked like Paloma Faith. I do kinda, so it’s ok, plus I love her <3

My feelings on The Feeling

This was a Dundee trip this time, with one of the girls from work. Firstly, it was a fantastic atmosphere. was a good level of busy, with a really range of people in the crowd. The band themselves were fantastic, and I walked away on a high. They had great interaction with the crowd. I had read lots of reviews that mentions the stage presence of the lead singer, Dan Gillespie Sells and I was not disappointed in the slightest :) They played a good range of songs from their 2 albums as well as a couple of new tracks. I still can’t get over the feeling of everyone in the place singing along to the same songs, I think that could be what I enjoy most about going to see bands live.

This was only my second time seeing a band on the second floor of Fat Sams, this time I got a much better spot in the crowd.

I would definitely go to see them again and really recommend them. I know it’s not everyone cup of tea, but if you get a chance to, give them a go. This is my favourite song of there’s (even though I had it as my morning alarm on my phone, so every time I hear it I think I’ve slept in lol.)

Ok, ok. I know I've been gone for a while. So much for posting every week eh? But I've been kinda busy at work, which has left me wanting to relax when I' not there. And relaxing for me tends towards listening to sweet music and lying very still. I know it's odd, I just go with it. So I will be posting a few times this week to make up for it, as I actually have been doing lots of stuff, and I fee like if I write it down I will stop thinking that I do not nothing in my life. Keep an eye out :)
